Associations

Everything In Its Space LLC is a Professional Member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals) and abides by their Code of Ethics.

Best Advice

All advice is given in good faith and it is entirely your decision whether or not to follow this. Everything In Its Space LLC cannot therefore accept responsibility for your actions and any consequences arising from these. Although I will do my best to identify items of high value amongst your possessions, you acknowledge that I am not a valuer nor do I have expertise to identify items of special value or rarity.

Breaks

We will always work at your pace as decluttering can be physically and emotionally demanding. Breaks can be taken as you wish, but please be aware that these breaks will count towards the duration of the booked session. If a session spans a lunch time I will provide my own lunch and will usually take a short break, which you will not be charged for.

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel the services. If this is within 48 hours of the appointment you will be charged 50% of the full session price. If this is within 2 hours of the appointment you will be charged 100% of the full session price.   

Cleaning

Everything In Its Space LLC is not a cleaning service and is therefore unable to provide cleaning services.

Confidentiality, Safeguarding and Privacy

Everything In Its Space LLC offers complete confidentiality and discretion, and I will never divulge information to any third parties without your consent. Exceptions are i) if there are concerns you may harm yourself or anyone else, or ii) there is evidence of a vulnerable person at risk of harm.

The handling of your personal information is governed by my Privacy Policy.

​When our work is complete I will ask you for feedback, and would be grateful for any testimonial that you would be willing to provide; this would only be used with your specific permission and personal details will not appear.

Cooperation

You understand that organizing projects may take more time depending on your attention and decision-making ability. Unless otherwise agreed, you are required to be present during sessions and to assist with the project throughout each session. You will make best efforts to minimize disruptions during sessions. 

Insurance

I hold General and Business Liability Insurance cover for my services.

Whilst I will always endeavor to handle your property with the utmost care, I will not accept liability for any loss or damage, however caused, during the course of providing the service. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have suitable and appropriate home insurance.

Other Suppliers and Services

On occasion, I may recommend the services, or provide contact details for other service providers to you but I will not accept any responsibility for their performance nor liability for any fees payable for their services or for any loss or damage that they may cause. For the avoidance of doubt, any contractual arrangements will be made directly between you and the supplier.

Personal Safety

Prior to undertaking an assignment, you agree to disclose any information relating to the working environment that might put me at risk of harm or damage to my health.

I am unable to move furniture or heavy items for reasons of health and safety.  If this is required, you may want to arrange additional help from other parties.

I am unable to work with you if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

I should be informed if there are any sharp or dangerous/ hazardous objects, including firearms, medical needles, blades of any kind, broken or sharp objects or dangerous animals.

Should evidence of infestation be found, the session will cease until professional pest control services have been instructed and you will be charged for the full session.

Someone else will always know my whereabouts and timings of each session. This information will not be shared with anyone else unless for the purpose of my safety.

Removal of Items

Items to be removed from your premises, either for disposal or to other locations, must be at your own discretion and undertaken by yourself. You take responsibility for all items disposed of in the decluttering process.

Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the end of each session. You will receive an invoice, which you can pay using cash, Venmo, Zelle or check (made payable to Laura Gutowski). I am unable to accept card payments.

At my discretion, I may deduct a referral fee for any referrals you made that have resulted in a full session.

A copy of these Terms & Conditions will be emailed to you and your agreement to them must be confirmed in writing before any organizing sessions can take place.

Privacy Policy:

Everything In Its Space LLC is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected in line with current GDPR requirements. This privacy policy explains how Everything In Its Space LLC uses and protects personal information you give when you use this website and in your general communication with us. Please be assured that your personal data will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Data Collected

I collect the following information about you:

your name

your contact details: postal address, telephone numbers, and e-mail address

personal details with regard to your home and lifestyle

Data Usage

I use this information:

to provide decluttering and organizing services to you

in giving examples to other clients of how particular problems can be overcome (in any instance of this kind information will be depersonalized and you as a client would be unidentifiable)

where I have a legal right or duty to share or disclose your information (for example with governmental bodies, regulators, law enforcement agencies, courts/tribunals and insurers when I am required to do so to comply with our legal obligations)

Data Protection

I am committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure.

Your data is stored on my computer and I also use my phone to access your information. Both my laptop and phone are password-protected.

The paper records I keep about you are notes from our consultation and sessions.

Data Retention

I will not retain your data for longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Different retention periods apply for different types of data, however the longest I will normally hold any personal data is 6 years.

Contacting You

I will only use your information in this respect where it is necessary so that we can interact and I can respond to any communications you send to me, including where you use the Contact page.

Your Rights

You have the following rights:

the right to ask for a copy of personal data that I hold about you

the right to request that I delete personal data held on you (where I no longer have any legal reason to retain it)

the right to ask me to update and correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal data that I hold about you
